A crown of laurels
Sits atop the queen’s long hair
As she sits the throne
This coronation is just
The beginning of her dreams

Notes: In hanakotoba (花言葉), the Japanese language of flowers, the Mountain Laurel (花笠石楠花) represents “an elegant woman” (優美な女性), “great hopes” (大きな希望), and “ambition” (野心).
